“Co-ops” Come to the Campus

by Fred E. Luchs - 1938

SCAN any pre-depression college paper and you will discover such headlines as "Greeks Grasp Greenies," "Seniors Steal Silver Trophy," or "Dekes Dance 'til Dawn." Pick up a college weekly now, and while you will still see titles like the above, you are also likely to read such headlines as "Co-op Organized for U. of C. Women," "Sixty-four Men Housed in Sheridan Unit of Cooperative," or "Organization of Co-op Explained."
