Creating an Inclusive School is a book about life in classrooms. It is a collection of essays and vignettes that support and state the benefits and advantages of creating inclusive classrooms. Personal vignettes provide the backbone of the text. There are stories from children with disabilities, their parents, and those who have worked with them in the classroom. The stories make it clear that, unlike some educational catch phrases or buzz words, inclusion has to be a way of life for the school community in order to be effective and successful. Although the book is a collection of essays written by several different people, they are all interconnected. The authors make it clear that inclusion is more than paying lipservice.
