It's Not Just About the Scores

The recently published results of the Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) have quickly become the object of widespread discussion. Some argue that they confirm the need for the measures now being carried out under the No Child Left Behind Act; others contend that, on the contrary, it is precisely these measures that will make matters even worse, since, for example, education in Finland, which received the highest ranking in the PISA findings, relies on entirely different principles.
