Teacher Education for Mass Education in Africa

The return of the Age of Faith in education creates great new opportunities for and challenges to teacher education in Africa. Opportunities lie in participating in a rapidly expanding mass system that, by the very definition of its objectives, must continue to expand with rising populations. The challenge lies in creating a teacher education network whose ethos is in line with the realities of the time.
