    PETER GIBBON is director of the Upper School at the Hackley School in Tarrytown, New York. He received his B.A. from Harvard and his Ph.D. from Teachers College where he was a Joseph Klingenstein Fellow. He has worked for Professor Francis Ianni at the Horace Mann-Lincoln Institute. Dr. Gibbon has written about education for a variety of publications, including Newsday and the New York Times.
