Such a summary is very useful indeed, and points the way to a number of further studies along the same line which would be extremely fruitful.
The volume begins with a suggestion of the need for clarification of what a faculty member's rights and obligations are, and proceeds to a suggested list of principles and practices about which the institutions studied have regulations in their body of written documents.
