Supporting Equity Through Formative Assessment in the Era of Covid-19
by Caroline Wylie & Margaret Heritage - June 19, 2020Our commentary notes the challenges faced by many teachers amid the COVID-19 pandemic as teaching and learning abruptly shifted from site-based to distance learning, with learning opportunities relying on a combination of asynchronous and real-time interactions. Discourse opportunities are inevitably reduced in remote teaching, lessening possibilities for formative assessment.
