CHARLES S. WHITE is Executive Director of the Social Science Education Consortium in Rockland, Massachusetts. For 22 years, Dr. White was Associate Professor and coordinator for PK-12 History/Social Studies at Boston University’s Wheelock College of Education and Human Development, teaching elementary and secondary social studies methods courses. He is author or editor of several books, including Sea Changes in Social Science Education: Woods Hole 2000 (Boulder, CO: Social Science Education Consortium, 2001) and Democracy’s Discontent and Civic Learning: Multiple Perspectives (Charlotte, NC: Information Age Publishing, 2018).
