    CARRIE A. KORTEGAST is an assistant professor and program coordinator of the Adult and Higher Education program at Northern Illinois University. Her research includes exploring the experiences of LGBTQ individuals in higher education and the use of visual methods in research pedagogy, and practices. Her recent publications include: “Other Duties Not Assigned: Experiences of Lesbian and Gay Student Affairs Professionals at Small Colleges and Universities” (Kortegast & van der Toorn, 2018) published in the Journal of Diversity in Higher Education and “‘But It’s Not the Space That I Would Need’: Narrative of LGBTQ Students Experiences in Campus Housing” (2017) in the Journal of College and University Student Housing. She also co-edited the book Engaging Images for Research, Pedagogy, and Practice: Utilizing Visuals to Understand and Promote College Student Development with Bridget Kelly Turner.
