Appalachian State University E-mail Author VACHEL MILLER earned his Ed.D. in Educational Policy and Leadership at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and his MA in International Education at the University of Minnesota. As an associate professor at Appalachian State University, he teaches courses in research methodologies, globalization, organizational theory and leadership. His interests include discourses of globalization in education, the movement toward sustainability, and the shifting interface between the higher education and K-12 education system (including the early college high school initiative).
