University of Texas at Arlington E-mail Author LARRY NELSON is an Associate Professor in the Department of Kinesiology at the University of Texas at Arlington. He holds a Ph.D. in Sport & Exercise Science from the University of Northern Colorado; a M.S. in Physical Education Pedagogy from Colorado State University; and a B.S. in Exercise and Sport Science from Colorado State University. His research interests include physical education program assessment and evaluation, developing service-learning models that improve preservice teachers’ efficacy, and testing active-learning strategies for critical thinking development.
