University of North Georgia E-mail Author KELLY MCFADEN, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor in the Social Foundations of Education at the University of North Georgia. She is a former middle and high school teacher and has experience working with students with special needs. Her recent work has focused on anti-bullying/fostering social justice for LGBTQIA students in K-12 environments through curriculum development and helping pre-service teachers interrogate and understand systems of privilege, power, and oppression.
