Curriculum-Making by the State Legislatures by J. K. Flanders - 1927An exhaustive search has been made of the constitutional and statutory law in each of the forty-eight states to discover the legislative enactments, in force in each of the three years 1903, 1913, and 1923, which would affect elementary-school instruction. The purpose of the study was to ascertain the extent to which legislators are dictating the course of study and the trend of such recent legislation.
