The Preparation of the Art Supervisor

Progress in art education has been measured for the most part by the high points of achievement in those towns and cities where may be found adequate art supervision and competent instruction. In the country as a whole, however, the classroom teacher, usually with little or no preparation and no supervision, is required to teach whatever art is taught, and, worse yet, millions of children are deprived of any art instruction whatsoever.
