- Tara Parker
University of Massachusetts Boston TARA PARKER's research focuses on access and equity issues and race in higher education. More specifically, she is interested in the ways public policies, such as developmental education and affirmative action, shape outcomes and experiences for students of color. Parker recently published The State of Developmental Education: Higher Education and Public Policy Priorities (Palgrave Macmillan, 2014) with Michelle Sterk Barrett and Leticia Bustillos. She is currently completing a book (with Lorna Hunter) that examines the disparate impact of the 1944 GI Bill on African Americans and their opportunities to access higher education.
