Her research interests mainly focus on adolescent development, with an emphasis in adolescent deviance and problem behaviors.

Her research interests include adolescent deviance and conformism, eating disorders, and various forms of health compromising, risky behaviors in adolescents.

University of Kentucky ALEXANDER T. VAZSONYI, Ph.D., The University of Arizona, is the John I. and Patricia J. Endowed Professor of Family Sciences and Professor of Psychology at the University of Kentucky. His research interests include the etiology of child and adolescent problem behaviors, deviance, violence, and health compromising behaviors, with a particular interest in socialization effects by the family, but also by larger contextual processes (schools, neighborhood, culture), as well as individual differences (self-control).
