MEERA VARADHARAJAN has just submitted her doctoral thesis on career change teachers. Her thesis is a phenomenological study that examines the experiences of career change teachers in schools. She is also a research assistant at the University and has worked on a number of projects relating to teacher education. Currently, she is working on the use of flipped learning technology in higher education. Her research interests also extend to early career teachers and their challenges, recruitment and retention of quality teachers and the contribution of career change teachers in this regard, and the role of philosophy in teachers’ lives.
