    ROLLANDE DESLANDES is a full tenure Professor in the Department of Education at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, Québec (Canada). She obtained a Bachelor Degree in Education at McGill University in Montreal, a Master’s Degree in Social Work and a doctorate in Educational Psychology at Laval University, in Québec city. She is Director of the Education, Culture and Health: Interactions and Partnerships Research Laboratory in Trois-Rivières. She has been a regular member of the Center for Research and Intervention Regarding School Success (CRIRES) since 1996. She received a Research Excellence award from the University in 2004. Her research interests include family and community involvement in schooling in relation to students’ achievement and other outcomes, including homework, autonomy development and healthy habits. She has been involved for quite long with the American Educational Research Association (AERA) Family–School–Community Partnership Sig, the European Research Network of Parents in Education (ERNAPE) and the Association Internationale en Éducation Familiale (AIFREF). She has published in numerous scientific journals including The Journal of Educational Research, School Psychology International, The Council for Exceptional Children Journal, Canadian Journal of Education, McGill Journal of Education, The Journal of Educational Thought, Education Sciences Journal and many others French-speaking Journals. In the past years, Dr. Deslandes edited three volumes, La collaboration de l’école, de la famille et de la communauté à l’apprentissage (ACFAS, 2008), International Perspectives on Student Outcomes and Homework (Routledge, 2009) and International Perspectives on Contexts, Communities and Evaluated Innovative Practices (Routledge, 2009). She is currently the Francophone Editor of the Canadian Journal of Education.
