    LORENZO DUBOIS BABER is an Assistant Professor in Higher Education at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. His primary research agenda focuses on issues of access and persistence for traditionally underrepresented students in higher education, including students of color, students from low-income families, and students from geographically isolated communities (urban and rural). His most recent publication, A Qualitative Inquiry on the Multidimensional Racial Development among First-Year African American College Students attending a Predominately White Institution, will appear in the Journal of Negro Education later this year.
