Media in Adult Education

by Mark Starr - 1942

CHESTER S. WILLIAMS, DIRECTOR OF Adult Education in the U. S. Office of Education, declared at the recent anniversary meeting of the Jewish Theological Seminary: "The fighting forces can be responsible only for military victory; the educators and leaders of religion must be responsible for the triumph of our cause of freedom. If this is so, it is shortsighted educational policy, which fails to strengthen educational facilities and provide for their future offensive operations throughout the world. This is the time to build the structure of adult education as a force for victory." This repeats what has been stated in our editorial of this month about the important and immediate role to be played by adult education for morale.
