Drake University E-mail Author MARION V. PANYAN, Ph.D. is the Mary Collier Baker Distinguished Professor of Education in the School of Education at Drake University. She is currently co-directing the Iowa Behavioral Alliance, a statewide initiative to implement and evaluate school-wide positive behavior support, mental health initiatives, and dropout prevention programs. She has co-authored (with Lewis Jackson) a 2002 text titled Positive Behavioral Support in the Classroom: Principles and Practices. Dr. Panyan’s most recent research is evaluating a character education program, Character Counts!, in Iowa.
