Parent-Teacher Partnerships, Challenging But Essential

This commentary focuses on the complexity of the parent-teacher partnership and the challenges each party must overcome in order to make the relationship work. Based upon the research, it takes the position that the partnerships are essential for increasing student achievement and suggests directions for the field to take. It was written in response to the Time Magazine article, “Why Teachers Hate Parents.”
