New Studies in Education: Negativism of Preschool Children: An Observational and Experimental Study

AMONG the problems brought to light by the recent interest of science in the preschool child, negativism takes an important place.1 An understanding of the behavior manifestations grouped under this head has been limited by the scanty scientific knowledge which is available. The aim of this study was to discover whether certain types of situations were more likely than others to call forth negativism, and to learn what the relations are between negativism and C.A., M.A. and I.Q.
