Perhaps some rereading is in order

| Perhaps a place to start is to go back and reread and reconsider Lortie and Jackson (among others) and Fenstermacher, Lampert, Ball, etc. They don't necessarily define 'bad teacher' or 'good teacher', but they do sketch might what might be entailed in teaching, per se. The same person, by the way, might be considered, by any of the measures suggested, a 'good' teacher in one circumstance and a 'bad' teacher in another (it is more common that perhaps realized).|
It is sad to read that we are still trying to compare teachers to dentists and doctors.
