Business as usual seems like such a cop-out

Posted By: Barbara Regenspan on February 21, 2017
I was more interested in responding to the whole issue which has "business as usual" tone and content. Has there been no debate on the editorial board about the model TCR might create by adopting a militant stance with regard to standing up against the fascist (and counter-intellectual) regime that has overtaken us?

Can you really think that those of us who have been involved in genuine social justice-focused education and critical social foundations can absorb this ordinary scholarship at a time like the present when all democratic institutions are vulnerable and a known enemy of public education is at the helm? We are all vulnerable children, and if we don't organize ourselves into a potent movement, and show some respect for the folks outside of the academic bubble who are doing just that, what is the point of a journal like this one? Sincerely, Barbara Regenspan
