But the federal and state educational reform efforts are not about actual schooling reform but about political leaders bamboozling the uninformed, misinformed and ignorant adult public that they are doing something serious about schooling. The fact that public money is spent on misguided premises is just one instance of our historical political divide. The others, of course, are health care, and foreign policy, and taxes, and (here you can name something in our political discourse). |
