Teach For America Corps Members’ Evaluation of the First Semester of Their Teacher Preparation Program | | | | Reply to this Post | | | TFA - | | Posted By: Karen Hendershot on March 23, 2011 | | | Unfortunately I cannot find much sympathy for the overachievers who have been virtually deified in the popular press as being the be all and end all of solving our problems in education, while professional, career path teachers are being vilified and blamed for everything that is going wrong in public education.
I would imagine that many of them will do their two years and move on in other career directions - I would like to see a study of what percentage of these folks actually remain in education for the long haul.
