Freedom of Speech

Posted By: aline pawlak on August 15, 2002

Freedom of Speech allows a person to express a thought without government involvement. In each of the sited examples, each person stated their opinion, knowing the risk of the institution in which it was stated.

Yes indeed, every person is entitled to speak freely of their opinion, however, each person (especially an educator) holds a responsibility.

Now, these people may have been reprimanded, however, they were not imprisoned, executed or berated.

It is not our country's duty to allow each individual to be a spoiled brat. So, what’s not free about this, again?
