Anthropology and Education Quarterly
The official journal of the Council on Anthropology and Education, Anthropology & Education Quarterly publishes articles reporting on topics concerned with the "application of anthropology to research and development in education." The educational struggles and successes of minority and Third World cultures, in particular, are discussed. Recent articles have had such titles as "'Those Loud Black Girls': (Black) Women, Silence, and Gender 'Passing' in the Academy," "To Walk in Two Worlds--Or More? Challenging a Common Metaphor of Native Education," and "Education and the 'New' Inequality in Papua New Guinea."
The Council on Anthropology and Education is a professional association of anthropologists and educational researchers concerned with the application of anthropology to research and development in education.
