Tipping point

Posted By: John Robinson on October 20, 2003

Dear Bruce

I use the idea of tipping point - which I refer to as tipping moments - in my teaching with pre-service and in-service teachers when I am considering the role of optimism in the field of emotionally literate teaching. I suggest to the students that tipping moments are vital in terms of recognising the point at which an expression of optimism about a learner's apptitude of ability comes in to play.

Happy to discuss this with you
