Shifting Teacher Beliefs

Most of the school reform literature suggests that schools need to alter both structural arrangements and instructional strategies to better meet the needs of urban learners. But the story from Granite points to the importance of a prior shift in beliefs about urban students as learners -- one that takes advantage of their strengths.
