Globalization of Educational Reforms

Posted By: Moses Oketch on February 19, 2002
Globalization has become a common metaphor in all academic disciplines. With it is the idea of a "global village." This gigantic concept is sweeping through education and reforms are increasingly becoming similar all over the world. We hear all the time the pros and cons of privatization of education in the US, issues of quality, accountability, and access--- this same message is now being pushed all over the world. What are your views on this trend of "globalizing educational reforms?" What are the dangers, challenges, and potential?
