The Teaching of Dramatic Arts in the Kindergarten and Elementary School

Much confusion exists at present in the minds of educators regarding the meaning and presentation of the dramatic arts in the school curriculum. Some of this confusion arises from the lack of a critical distinction between subjects which come under the head of dramatic arts and those which do not; but most of it comes from ignorance on the part of the teacher as to the historical development of these arts, while yet she conscientiously but vainly struggles to incorporate them into the daily work of the school.
