Untapped Resources of School Boards

The argument herein presented is that local control of education as it operates through boards of education in this country is a precious heritage and must be preserved. Local control can be strengthened in various ways, financially, legally, and so on. But there are relatively untried sources of strength which each board can tap in the community, the school staff, and the superintendent.
