A Scale for Measuring the Importance of Habits of Good Citizenship...

For a number of years the school reports of the Horace Mann Elementary School were similar to those in use in the majority of schools. The child was graded in each school subject by the teacher, the symbols I, 2, 3, and 4 being used in place of the more common A, B, C, and D. There was one additional feature, however; the items courtesy, promptness, and system, marked in the same manner as the regular school subjects, were also included.
