    Rebecca Pearce is a PhD student in the Department of Integrated Studies in Education at McGill University. Rebecca has been a secondary science teacher for 13 years. Her doctoral research interests involve the educational experiences of children born preterm, particularly in the area of mathematics. Rebecca’s recent publications involve parental perspectives on measuring the outcomes of preterm birth.

    HEATHER MCPHERSON is a PhD candidate in the Department of Integrated Studies in Education at McGill University, where she is also a Faculty Lecturer. Heather is currently a high school science teacher, having taught in public schools for the past 30 years. Recent publications include articles on problem-based learning in The Science Teacher and Teaching Science, as well as a duoethnograpic study currently in press with the Journal of Educational Research for Social Change that compares science education in Ethiopia and Canada.
