    SARAH KIEFER is an associate professor of Educational Psychology in the College of Education at the University of South Florida. Dr. Kieferís research interests include the study of adolescent motivation, peer relationships, and responsive teacher practices. Dr. Kiefer has published over 25 peer-reviewed articles in prestigious journals, including Developmental Psychology, The Journal of Educational Psychology, and the Journal of Applied Developmental Psychology. She is a member of the editorial board for the Journal of Applied Developmental Psychology, Journal of Experimental Education, and Research in Middle Level Education. Dr. Kiefer was featured as an Early Career Researcher by the American Psychological Association in 2012. Her goal is to serve as an advocate for supporting the development of todayís youth through engaging in school-based research, guiding prospective and current teachers to become effective educators, and collaborating with educational professionals on a local, national, and international level.
