    CAROLINE (CARLY) MANION is a lecturer at OISE, University of Toronto, teaching in the Department of Leadership, Higher, and Adult Education, and in the collaborative specialization in Comparative, International, and Development Education. Dr. Manion's research interests include teacher development, school improvement, education governance, and equity in education. She has recently co-edited the second edition of Comparative and International Education: Issues for Teachers (Bickmore, Hayhoe, Manion, Munday & Read, 2017), with some of her other work published in a range of journals, including The Journal of Theory and Research in Education and The Journal of Human Development and Capabilities, as well as edited collections. Dr. Manion has recently completed a multi-year research project on Professional Learning Networks for educators and educational leaders in Kenya, and is currently working on a teacher development project in Peru that engages community-labor-management stakeholders in system reform processes geared towards achieving inclusive, quality, and empowering educational experiences for marginalized and disadvantaged adolescents.
