    GARY NATRIELLO is the Ruth L. Gottesman Professor of Educational Research and Professor of Sociology and Education in the Department of Human Development at Teachers College, Columbia University. He is also the executive editor of the Teachers College Record and the Director of the Gottesman Libraries. Professor Natriello's research interests include school organization, social aspects of evaluation, at-risk youth, and the sociology of networked learning. Recent publications include “Networked Learning” in The Handbook of Educational Psychology.

    HUI SOO CHAE is the Senior Director of Research, Development, and Strategy for the EdLab and the Gottesman Libraries at Teachers College. In that capacity he leads the software development, research, consulting, and publishing initiatives. He has led the development of a number of learning applications, including the Vialogues video discussion tool. His publishing initiatives have included development of the mobile publishing platform for the New Learning Times. Recent publications include “Understanding academic information seeking habits through analysis of web server log files” in the Journal of Academic Librarianship.
