    STEPHEN KOTOK is an assistant professor in the Department of Educational Leadership and Foundations at the University of Texas at El Paso. His research focuses on the extent to which school climate, organization, school choice, and segregation influence student learning and attainment. His work has recently appeared in several peer-reviewed journals including American Journal of Education, Educational Policy, and Peabody Journal of Education. He is currently conducting research on minority high school experiences with STEM as well as work on school open enrollment policies in Texas.
