The Foundations of Curriculum-Making

In order to render a possible service to actual curriculum-makers—superintendents, supervisors, teachers, and other students of education—we, the members of the Committee of the National Society for the Study of Education on the Technique of Curriculum-Making, have agreed upon the following general statement of working principles of curriculum-making. This statement is intended to call attention to the direction in which curriculum-making is moving at present in its attempt to solve its major problems.
