The Social Studies Program of the Detroit Public Schools

It is a difficult matter to give in a single paper an adequate conception of a program as diversified as that of the social studies. While the Detroit program is in many respects very much the same as that of other cities of its kinds, certain points of emphasis may, for purposes of comparison and discussion, be of general interest.
