The Internet Landscape in College

The goal of this chapter is to report key results from this research (which at this time has not yet been published) and to draw conclusions from the data that documents the differences between students’ and professors’ use of and attitudes toward Internet technologies, along with the potential impact of these differences.

    FRANCISCO SEOANE PÉREZ holds a PhD in Communications Studies from the University of Leeds (United Kingdom, 2011), an MA in Communication from the University of Illinois at Chicago (U.S.A., 2006, with a grant from the Fundación Pedro Barrié de la Maza) and a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Santiago de Compostela (2001). His scholarly interests include the role of journalism in liberal democracies, the idea of a European public sphere, and the impact of the Internet on political participation. He is an associate editor for the International Journal of Media & Cultural Politics.
