    RYAN FLESSNER is Associate Professor of Teacher Education at Butler University. He has co-edited two books: Creating Equitable Classrooms Through Action Research and Agency in Teacher Education: Reflection, Community, and Learning. He has published articles in journals such as Action in Teacher Education, Action Research Journal, Educational Action Research, The Educational Forum, and The New Educator. Ryan’s teaching and research interests include teacher education, practitioner inquiry, mathematics education, and issues of equity, diversity, and social justice.

    SUSAN C. ADAMSON is Assistant Professor of Early/Middle Childhood at Butler University and Director of the Indiana Partnership for Young Writers, which has been generously supported for more than fifteen years with funding from the Indiana Commission on Higher Education and the Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust. Her work engages pre-service and in-service teachers in developing multicultural learning communities through workshop teaching. She was a contributing author to Vivian Vasquez’s book, Getting Beyond “I Like the Book:” Creating Spaces for Critical Literacy in K-6 Classrooms and has been published in Literacy Teaching and Learning: An International Journal of Early Reading and Writing.
