    ANDREW T. ARROYO, Ed.D., is assistant professor of Interdisciplinary Studies at Norfolk State University, one of the nation's largest historically Black universities. A former non-denominational ordained minister in largely urban and inner city contexts, his academic training also includes philosophy, religion, and the humanities. His research has appeared in such venues as Teaching Theology & Religion and the American Journal of Education, among others.
