    WILLIAM G. BROZO is a Professor of Literacy in the Graduate School of Education at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. He is the author of numerous articles and books on literacy development for children and young adults, including To be a Boy, To be a Reader. His newest books are Teaching with Graphic Novels Across the Curriculum and RTI and the Adolescent Reader: Responsive Literacy Instruction in Secondary Schools (Teachers College Press). Dr. Brozo’s research focuses on adolescent literacy, content area/disciplinary literacy, and the literate lives of boys.
