    LANE W. CLARKE, Ed.D, is an Associate Professor of Literacy Education at the University of New England. Her most recent book with Dr. Susan Watts-Taffe called Educating Literacy Teachers Online: Tools, techniques, and transformations (2013) was published with Teachers College Press. She has published two other books, High Tech Teaching Success (Prufrock Press, 2009) with Dr. Kevin Besnoy and The Reading Turn Around (Teachers College Press., 2009) with Dr. Stephanie Jones and Dr. Grace Enriquez, as well as articles in journals such as The Reading Teacher, Language Arts, Journal of Adolescent and Adult Literacy, Journal of Literacy Research, Journal of Media Literacy, and Kentucky Reading Journal. Her research interests include literacy education, online teaching and learning, reading comprehension, literacy and technology, and classroom discourse.
