    BOGUM YOON, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Literacy Education in the Graduate School of Education at the State University of New York at Binghamton. Her research areas include critical literacies, English language learners, and multicultural education. Yoon’s work has been published in journals including American Educational Research Journal, Journal of Adolescent and Adult Literacy, and Reading Teacher. Recently, she has published a co-edited book: Teachers’ Roles in Second Language Learning: Classroom Applications of Sociocultural Theory.
