    JENNIFER FRIEND, Ph.D., is the Assistant Dean for the School of Graduate Studies and an Associate Professor in Educational Leadership, Policy, and Foundations at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Dr. Friend teaches educational leadership coursework and is a former middle grades principal and language arts teacher with over 20 years of experience in education. Recent publications include the book Principal 2.0: Technology and Educational Leadership, in addition to articles in Educational Studies, Education Leadership Review, and the Journal of Research in Leadership Education. Dr. Friend's research agenda focuses on issues of equity in urban education, educational leadership policy and preparation, and video production/documentary film in education.
