    JULIE EDMUNDS is a program director at SERVE Center at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She studies high school reform and is leading a federally-funded, longitudinal experimental study of the impact of early college high schools. She is also evaluating the impact of two Investing in Innovation grants that are seeking to apply early college principles to comprehensive high schools. Recent publications include, “Mandated Engagement: the Impact of Early College High Schools” in this journal and “Expanding the start of the college pipeline: Ninth grade findings from an experimental study of the impact of the early college high school model” published in the Journal of Research on Educational Effectiveness.
